Putting together your project
Some business owners don’t need to be sold a pre-made package of services. Some just want to play with the variables so they can build a package they want at a price point are comfortable investing in their business.
It is our goal to provide the resources that give as much information as possible to a business looking to invest in their business. Below is a description of our packages, and some things to consider.
How does the script-writing process work?
There are two options here:
1- We work together to craft a video that aligns with your voice, values, and branding. We will help you manage all the variables to keep the cost at the level where you are comfortable.
2- If you know exactly what you’re looking for and just need some professionals to help you execute on your vision, we will put together all the other pieces for you.
What are “location services?”
Do you own the location where you want the content shot? Then you’re good to go. If you need us to find the location for you, we can tap into our network and find some great options. The fee associated with these services will include our insurance and permit fees, and do not cover the actual rental cost of the location.
What do you mean by “Location Budget?”
In order to shoot commercial video at a location, you should expect to pay a rental fee. There are few things worse in video production than showing up with the gear and crew that you have hired for the day and getting kicked out of a location because you don’t have the proper permission to shoot there. If you need us to find a location for you and make those arrangements, you can help us a great deal by telling us what is out of budget so we don’t waste your time in pitching those options to you.
Can I provide my own actors?
Absolutely! This is part of the budget where you can cut a significant cost if you are willing to get people to be in your video. If you need us to handle it, we can tap into our network to fill any roles you would need. We work with experienced and professional actors for both on set production and voice overs.
What are the differences in the camera packages?
- Cinema Package includes a camera that is designed to shoot a movie. It will capture the most detailed image possible in beyond 4k resolution.
- Pro Package includes a professional 4k camera designed for commercial and event videography.
- DSLR Package includes a small 4k video camera that packs a punch. Quality video in a form factor that allows us to move quick.
- iPhone Package is just what it sounds like. The camera on the iPhones will give a great image for shoots that don’t require all the bells and whistles.
All Camera Packages come with tripods, lenses, and other accessories for them to be used effectively.
What are the differences in the lighting packages?
- Trailer Package* includes our full LED production kit along with all the tools to control the light and the stands to keep it there.
- Exterior Package* includes the stands and tools we need to control and bounce the light of the sun to create a nice image.
- Interview / Small Room Package includes a selection of lights we need to get the job done based on your script.
- Event Coverage means we’re there to capture shots of whatever is happening. No lighting is needed
*Please note that Trailer Package and Exterior package will require at least one lighting tech on the day of the shoot.
Will I need someone to record the audio?
Some commercials will not require us to record any audio on set. If your vision for your video does not call for any actors to say lines on camera, we can eliminate this position entirely.
If we are doing a commercial where one or two actors will be in one spot to say their lines, or if we are shooting an interview, then we do not need to hire an audio mixer.
However, if we have a lot of actors that will need to be recorded, or if there is a lot of dialogue spoken that needs to be kept track of, then it is a VERY good idea to have a person on set dedicated to getting you nice clear audio tracks.
Is a hair and makeup artist really necessary?
We have had clients that have been happy with doing their own hair and makeup for the shoot and have loved the results. We have also had clients that wished they had someone there to do touch ups to keep the on-screen talent looking perfect.
Just keep in mind, doing hair and makeup for commercials and tv is an art form.
Editing and delivery of the final videos.
The standard editing package will include basic graphics and logos included in the price. We are not looking to charge you for things you don’t need. We also do not want you to feel like the budget would spiral away from you with various add-ons once the commercial is shot.
For example, there is no charge for your logo popping up on screen with your information, but if you wanted to animate your logo to do something special we might need to price it out as an add-on.
Other add-ons include licensing of music tracks, and paying for professional voice over artists.
Can I have a copy of everything we shoot?
We usually don’t sell hard drives with raw footage or photos.
If you need multiple versions of a video, or would like to shoot multiple videos at the same time, we would be happy to quote out exactly what you need.
